Warranty Policy
At Total Sports, we proudly support all genuine warranties and provide standard warranty in accordance with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission. Our goal is to process warranty claims efficiently within a reasonable timeframe, which may involve assessment by the manufacturer on a case-by-case basis.
Communication
For both in-store and online purchases, our dedicated claims specialist team will communicate all warranty claims via email, ensuring a transparent and hassle-free experience.
Our Commitment
We strive to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all warranty claims are handled promptly and professionally. Your satisfaction is our top priority!
- Cricket Bat – Comes with standard 12 months warranty for the manufacturer’s fault and does not cover the customer fault. Please see below for Bat Warranty details & Process.
- Kit Bags – Split seams/stitching/broken zipper & faulty wheel are covered under warranty and the warranty period is 3 months. Wear & Tear including breaking of wheels is not included in Warranty under any circumstances
- Protective gears – Split seams/stitching are covered under warranty and the warranty period is 3 months. Wear & Tear including broken strap buckles are not included in Warranty under any circumstances
- Shoes – Split seams/stitching/spike blowout or separation of the sole are covered under warranty and the warranty period is 3 months. Wear & Tear including stud threading is not included in Warranty under any circumstances
- Helmets – Only broken micro adjustment feature is covered under warranty and the warranty period is 3 months. Wear and tear or any damage caused by impact of a cricket ball, careless handling are not covered under any circumstances
- Rest of the Products – will be assessed by Total Sports Australia and or the manufacturer on goodwill basis
- Bat Repairs – Bat repairs do not come with any warranty as after the repair the bat needs to again face the cricket balls coming at a high speed and can either break in one ball or might last long for years.
CRICKET BAT WARRANTY:-
- A Cricket bat will never remain new once you start using it. It’s a natural product that faces cricket ball at high level of speed repeatedly, therefore having superficial or facial cracks on the bat is inevitable.
- Having facial cracks on the bat DOES NOT imply that bat is defective as small amount of cracking is normal
- Facial cracks can result during knocking process whether manual, machine or in training sessions. IT IS NOT A FAULT IN THE BAT. Such cracks do not affect the performance of the bat. These can be removed by simply sanding the bat.
- Life of a bat depends on your use and amount of care you take
- Buying an expensive bat does not indicate the bat will last longer. In fact expensive bats are made up of aged tree which are less in moisture content and make bat perform better but on the down side less moisture content can reduce life of the bat. More price in no way guarantees the longevity of the bat.
- Facial cracks can be prevented to some extent by preparing your bat thoroughly, maintaining your bat and taking care of your bat by following do’s and don’ts that are listed below.

Things To Do:-
- Service the bat regularly, we recommend getting it serviced twice in a cricket season.
- Maintain the toe protection (Rubber Toe guard or shoe goo only)
- Use genuine Australian Hide cricket balls
- Always apply a face protection sheet or extract with side edge tapes on the bat
Things To Remember:-
- Do not leave the bat in the car, high temperature environment or direct sunlight for long time as it will dry the bat, increasing the chance of more cracks and breaking the bat sooner
- Do not play with dried out bat as dried willow will snap soon. We highly recommend to regularly service the bat.
- Do not play with the bat if the thread of the handle is loosen or starts coming off. You will need to fix this asap to avoid damage to the handle
- Do not play against bowling machine balls at all. All bowling machine balls are very hard as compared to leather balls. Warranty will be forfeited for the bat played against bowling machine.
- Do not play against bad, hard, moulded & low quality leather balls
If the above guidelines are not adhered to, then the warranty will be voided.
Bat Warranty doesn’t not apply and will be voided under following conditions:
- The bat exceeds the 12 month warranty period from the date of purchase
- The manufacturer’s stickers/labels have been removed
- The bat has not been correctly prepared as recommended (a full knocking, Oiling, face & toe protection process must be followed)
- The bat has normal cracks or wear and tear cracks with no effect on performance
- Damage to the toe, shoulder and or Full length edges will not be covered under warranty in any circumstances
- If the handle is broken due to loosen thread and or thread starts coming off, handle will not be covered under warranty in any circumstances
- The bat has been damaged due to exposure to heat, water or moisture
- Bowling machine has been used against the bat
- Damage due to over oiling/Under Oiling
- Edge and Toe cracks due to inaccurate play
- Swelling of toe due to dampness
- Damage due to Yorkers or Hitting the bat on the ground, stumps or any other surface
- Use of hard, moulded & low quality leather balls against the bat
- Tying a thread on any part of the bat’s blade
- The bat is used without any toe and or blade protection
Bat Warranty Process :-
- Bat warranty covers Manufacturer’s fault and not the customer’s fault or wear & tear
- We need to see the physical bat first before we can advise anything and move on to the next step. So please bring in the bat to the store
- If you posted the Bat, Both sided postage cost is paid by the customer. We advise you to post the bat via registered post with signature on delivery as Total Sports Australia will not be liable for lost parcels under any circumstances.
- We will assess the bat and might need to send it to the manufacturer for assessment, hence the time-frame can vary, though we try to provide the outcome in reasonable time frame
- Bats with broken handles are replaced with a new handle. The average turnaround time is 4- 6 weeks and sometimes it can take longer due to busy time of year, public holiday, courier, customs, etc.
- Bats will not be exchanged or refunded due to the handle breaking, edge, toe or surface cracking. This is not regarded as a fault of the bat other than the fact that it is the nature of the product and it will not alter the performance or quality of the bat. In these situations the Bat will be repaired under warranty at no cost to the Customer.
- Stickers will be damaged in the process of replacing the handle and any kind of repairs. Retailers don’t have access to new stickers and hence can’t provide stickers under any circumstances.
- Bats with major natural split – vertically or horizontally – this will need to be sent to manufacturer for assessment. The average turnaround time is 4- 6 weeks and sometimes it can take longer due to busy time of year, public holiday, courier, customs, etc.
- Above are guidelines, however each claim will depend on the kind of damage. The protocol of the procedure including the time frame and outcome will vary from case to case. Sturdy Sports Management reserves the rights to the final decision
- We will get back to you if the manufacturer refuses the warranty in case it is not a manufacturing fault. We also understand your disappointment if your warranty is refused and request you to understand our limitations too. However, we might help you with repairing the damage on purely goodwill basis from case to case.
Cricket Protective – Gloves, Pads, Thigh pads, Arm guards, Chest guards
- All Cricket protective items sold Total Sports Australia will include a 3 month warranty.
- The warranty covers a split in the seam or the stitching.
- The warranty does not cover wear and tear, or heavy use.
- If the product can be repaired without altering its performance or shape it will be done with no cost to the customer within the 3 months.
- If the seam or stitching damage is major and cannot be successfully repaired an exchange or store credit will be offered as per the Customer’s choice. The decision to exchange or provide a store credit on these items will be at the discretion of Total Sports Australia.
Badminton Racquet:-
Terms and Conditions for Returns
- Items must be unused and in their original condition
- All product tags must still be attached to the item. All packaging that comes along with the product must also be returned to us. For example, if you return a racket, any racket covers that come with the racket must be returned to us.
- Sale and Clearance item are not returnable.
- Total Sports Australia reserves the rights to reject any returns if we believe they don’t meet our terms and conditions.
- If you have requested us to install strings on a racket, the racket is strictly not returnable.
Terms and Conditions for Warranty Claim (Racquet)
- Racquets: 3-month warranty for manufacturing defects, excluding string breakage.
- Shuttlecocks: No warranty, as they are consumable items.
- Nets: 6-month warranty for manufacturing defects.
- Claims must be made within 3 months from the date you receive the product.
- Cut the strings on the broken frame but DO NOT remove the strings. Strings removed from the frame may not be processed.
- String Breakage : NOT covered as they are not considered a manufacturing defect. String on racket is a wearable part, and will need to be replaced at a regular interval. You need to restring your racket. It’s very common occurrence with badminton players.
- Paint chips and/or cosmetic damages do not qualify for warranty claim.
- Damages as a result of clashing of rackets or hitting the floor are not eligible for warranty claim.
- Stringing the racquet exceeding its recommended tension may fail the warranty claim process
- Successful warranty claims for discontinued or Limited Edition racquets that are no longer available will be replaced with similar product with equivalent trade value.

Baseball/ Softball Equipment :-
- Bats: 12-month warranty for manufacturer’s faults, excluding wear and tear.
- Gloves: 3-month warranty for split seams or stitching.
- Protective Gear: 3-month warranty for split seams or stitching.
- Baseball Pitching Machine ,Warranty Period: 12 months – Coverage: Manufacturing defects, electrical faults, and mechanical issues . Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and balls or other projectiles damaging the machine
- Baseball Net Warranty Period: 6 months, Coverage: Manufacturing defects, netting faults, and frame damage. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and weather-related damage
- Baseball Cleat Warranty Period: 3 months , Coverage: Manufacturing defects, sole separation, and upper material faults . Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and studs or cleats damaging the playing surface

Boxing Gloves & Equipment :–
- Gloves: 3-month warranty for splitting or stitching faults, excluding wear and tear of leather or synthetic materials.
- Hand Wraps, Mouthguards, and other accessories: 1-month warranty for manufacturing defects.
- Boxing Boots Warranty Period: 6 months – Coverage: Split seams, stitching, and sole separation , Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance
- Boxing Bags Warranty Period: 12 months , Coverage: Split seams, stitching, Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and filling material leakage , Zipper

Carrom Board, Darts & Board Games :
- Carrom Board Warranty Period: 1 months , Coverage: Manufacturing defects , frame faults. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and scratches or marks caused by playing or any playing surface issue
- Carrom Stand Warranty Period: 1 months, Coverage: Manufacturing defects, structural damage, and folding mechanism faults. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and rust or corrosion
- Carrom Carry Bag Warranty Period: 3 months , Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and scratches or marks caused by carrying
- Darts Board Warranty Period: 6 months , Coverage: Manufacturing defects, board surface damage, and scoring system faults. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and dart holes or marks
- Darts Tip Warranty Period: 1 month, Coverage: Manufacturing defects and tip damage. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and normal tip wear

Hockey Stick & Equipment :-
- Hockey Stick Warranty Period: 3 months , Coverage: Manufacturing defects, splintering, and breakage . Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and normal stick wear
- Hockey Bag/ Gloves / Shin Guard / Shoes Warranty Period: 3 months ,Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults, and palm material damage ,Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and normal glove wear

Netball / Volleyball / Soccer / Rugby Equipment :-
- Netball Balls , Soccer Balls , Rugby Balls Warranty Period: 3 months , Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults, and shape defects. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance
- Netball Shoes Warranty Period: 3 months. Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults, and sole separation. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance
- Soccer Shin Pads and Gloves Warranty Period: 3 months ,Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults, and material damage ,Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance
- Soccer Goal and Rebounder ,Warranty Period: 6 months ,Coverage: Manufacturing defects, structural damage, and netting faults. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and weather-related damage
- Soccer/ Rugby Boot Warranty Period: 3 months ,Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults, and sole separation , Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance
- Goalkeeper Pant / Skin Fits / Headgear/ Shoulder Pads Warranty Period: 3 months, Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults, and material damage , Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance
- Tackle Pads / Rings / Bags Warranty Period: 6 months ,Coverage: Manufacturing defects, stitching faults, and padding damage Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and normal compression of padding

Table Tennis & Equipment :-
- Table Tennis Bat Warranty Period: 3 months ,Coverage: Manufacturing defects, rubber damage, and handle faults. Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and normal rubber wear
- Table Tennis Net Warranty Period: 3 months ,Coverage: Manufacturing defects, netting faults, and stand damage . Exclusions: Wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or maintenance, and weather-related damage

General Warranty Conditions
What’s Covered
Product warranty covers manufacturing faults only, excluding customer fault and wear & tear.
- Manufacturer’s Decision: All warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s decision.
- Proof of Purchase: Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
- Physical Inspection: Bring the product to our store or post it to us with the original proof of purchase.
- Posting Instructions: If posting, please include your full name, Order No., and Mobile No. on the package.
- Postage Costs: Customer is responsible for both-sided postage costs.
- Secure Posting: We recommend using registered post with signature on delivery. Total Sports is not liable for lost parcels.
- Note : In the event of a successful warranty claim, we will provide a store credit to the customer for the amount of the claim only. Shipping costs will not be included in the store credit.
Warranty Outcome
- If the manufacturer refuses the warranty (due to non-manufacturing fault), we will notify you.
- If the warranty is approved, a replacement product of equivalent value will be provided. No monetary refunds will be given.
